Pineapple Jerky: A review.

A few weeks backs I was asked to review some products from Jerky.com. I am shameless. I love to review books and food. I find nothing wrong with it and its the perk of being a blogger while introducing me to new things. At first I thought I was going to get some meat type of jerky. Certain Someone love jerky and is very picky, so I thought he would love to sample with me. But hes been gone. so nix that. What I actually got was new product from them called Pineapple jerky.
I love dried fruit , but sometimes you find them coated with sugar. Especially pineapple. This was a slice of heaven. Just the right amount and thickness and natural sweetness.I got my package while rushing to pick Certain Someone up from the airport. Blood sugar was a little low and this was the perfect reviver. The taste was pure sweet pineapple. The only additive was honey. I also took a sample to work one morning and found it made a great quick morning snack with some hot tea.If fruit is not your thing check out their vast array of meat snacks ranging from ostrich , venison, elk, buffalo, turkey, and beef jerky. Or better yet, get a combo pack.

one of the reasons i'm looking forward to getting a dehydrator is so that I can play around with making my own jerkies :)

That looks really good! Those meat jerkies sound good too - I will have to check them out - all the ones I ever find are full of chemicals! :(

Mmm, I love pineapple!! Last time I went to the store I found dried without sugar which was lovely.

It's so fun getting samples! The latest thing I received was Ben & Jerry ice cream last week. Lovely!

Coco this Jerky sounds mighty good to me and it's always great to hear of new products. I have to confess I thought it would be meat before reading through ;0)

I've never heard of Pineapple Jerky. Sounds intriguing. Thanks for sharing this review, Courtney. I will have to look into it. I'm just wondering, did Certain Someone get to sample a tiny piece:)

I've never heard of pineapple jerky, but smart idea on their part!

Interesting choice to call it Jerky rather than dried fruit. I wondered before reading your post if it was going to be savory! Sounds good, though.

You're so lucky getting stuff to review. I wish I had some of that pineapple right now.

Now that's a new one for me. I'll bet that pineapple flavour was super concentrated.

Wow, I love pineapple. Do you think I could just oven-dry some pineapple rings, or do you think I'd need to season the pineapple first? I'd love to try and make some.

Oooooooh. So that's what the pineapple jerky is. I thought (based on the email from Jerky.com) that it was some sort of pineapple flavored meat.
