I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend so far. I'm resting a lot. Just tired and stressed. Last night we went to an old friends wedding on the Fourth of July. It was a fitting theme for all they had been through over the past decade. Good Luck you two. It was Certain Someones first American wedding and we traded notes on the differences and what we would have, if that day came.
Anyway I woke late and checked on my hot mail account for this blog. It seems I may have crossed some lines with a fellow blogger. I know there is lot of discussion and debate about protected material and such. We all work hard on our blogs for simple enjoyment. Well anyway I have a new feature that has been up for a month or so on the side bar. Rather than a traditional link list, it shows the most recent 25 posts from my reader. I have received a few comments about this being fascinating, and have noticed it on some other blogs as well. This fellow blogger who I love to read would rather not have me show their content in the snippet or link to their blog . Its OK If I'm referring to a post of theirs, or an event, but not in this form.I never intended to use someone else's content(It is not like I am passing off their content as mine or profiting in anyway). The feature from Blogger just shows whats in my personal reader with snippets and you can choose to go to that persons blog and read on. I think its way more interesting than a link.Something may catch your eye that you haven't noticed before. Anyway all this to say if I have offended anyone else I am sorry. Do you think I should take this off and would you too rather not have your link in it? If that's the case I will remove the feature. This is a whole new world to me and I don't want to offend anyone .

And finally, Paz tagged me for this visual meme. If you don't know Paz, check her out. I love her varied posts from good food to daily shots of life in New York City. I feel a trip coming on soon.Post you 10 best food shots and tag others to participate. My type of Meme. Now I am not a photographer by any means. But I have come a long way since my first photos . Thanks to stealing Certain Someones camera and learning from you all.
Nothing says summer like Papaya/Coconut Ice Cream!
A Daring Bakers Perfect Party Cake.
Chicken I never blogged about. It looked better before cooking than cooked in a slow cooker.
A lovely flan. I'm starting to learn about natural light.
I loved the frost chilled effect of my homemade rum raisin ice cream.
I still get a lot of Taste Spotting hits on this Shrimp and long bean dish.
Finally a decent looking roast picture!
Fruits and vanilla bean for preserves.
Not a great picture but it managed to scare the crap out of a lot people. My Aunt jumped from her seat by the computer. I was proud of my Marzipan rabbit in my Buche de Noel. I guess from a certain angle it looks trapped under a log. I cant help it if it looked a little to real for people. Call me the twisted baker. It's the Scorpian in me I guess.A refreshing cream limoncello. I could go for some now!
I won't tag anyone else because so many of you have been or don't want to be. Feel free to play along!I hope you do!Its fun to see how far you have come in photography.

I don't mind if you link back to me, but now I'm dying to know who didn't! :P I'm just a gossip whore sometimes, I guess.
I love the Watership Down bunny under the Buche de Noel. I think it's awesome.
Watership Down! I never thought of that. So true.
I think it's great that you have the little tidbits to blogs that you read on the side. Sometimes I'll decide to go visit one because it will look like they have an interesting post. You can keep me up there. :)
(And I love the bunny trapped under the log!)
Ha ha @ Heather...Watership Down...
Keep your reader on the side. Whoever emailed you is crazy. Do they not know the purpose of such a useful tool? Poo to them.
Thanks for sharing your pictures in the meme. That rabbit looks friggin' scary! But I see why you're so proud of it. It looks beautiful, too.
Wow, great meme, I might give it a try next week. Right now I'm too hot, too sleepy and just can't get my act together!
I like the feature, I don't think you should stop it. Maybe just remove that blog from your reader so that it doesn't show up anymore....
I remember thinking that it was a real rabbit when I first saw it ha ha!
A great choice of pictures! Delicious dishes...
I really love that feature and don't mind if my link is in it! Don't stop it!
Cheers,
Rosa
I like my blog over there to the right. It may bring readers my way!
And that bunny IS quite real looking! :)
Oh my, to think I almost missed this post.
First: "Stressed spelled backwards is desserts" sit down, relax, and...enjoy!
Second: I think the new blogger feature is "the next best thing since sliced bread." I'm humbled to be included on your sidebar and I thank you for showing me the way to include it in my blog. As was said before, the tidbits can be awfully tantalizing:)
Third: Some day, I hope to include my cooking attempts on my blog. If I could only learn to take pictures half as well as you, I would be thrilled.
Re the linking - for me it falls into the category of "Frankly Scarlet.....". If people really don't want to be linked somehow/anyhow then why even bother putting yourself out there on an international forum where anybody can find you.
With regards to the linking, it is a blogger feature put there for use by any and everyone. If they don't want their site listed, then let them make their blog private and inaccessable.
If you remove their blog from the line up today and 20 other people add it to their line up with the blogger feature, what is this blogger going to do, send out 20 emails?
Louise ... you are a little bewdy, I like the way you dealt with "stressed". In OZ we'd say "go pat a Koala".
Courts, it always about personal choice. If they don't want to be there then take them off .... you've got plenty of other friends who are more than happy to be there (and now room for one more).
Luv the bunny ".... hhahaha wabbit season ...."
We almost died seeing all these delicious things, especially shrimps and long beans, we're mad for it!!!!
Dear Courtney, you're an artist according to me and Luca, so....come and see us, there something for you!!!!
Hugs
Sabrina&Luca
The pictures looks delicious, esp. the rom raisin ice cream (and I don't even like that flavor!).
Now to your question. I rather like that you show the latest blogs you've read. I get some good links from that list.
This feature you are referring to is amazing! I'm like "how'd she do that?". I certainly don't think it inappropriate in anyway and suspect it will be the rare blogger who doesn't want to be included in your "blogs I read list".
It may simply be a part of blogging evolution. Many people clearly state on their blogs that they do not want any part of their content copied or reproduced in any way. I take this to mean that they would not want to be linked to in anyway. If I were to prepare a recipe I found on their site I would ask their permission to post the recipe and link to them.
Keep the feature and if someone complains, handle it as you did by simply removing them from the list.
I like links. ;-)
Also, the pictures were wonderful! I want a limoncello, too!
Wonderful lineup of photos! I enjoyed looking at everyone of them. Thanks for playing along.
Best,
Paz
I love being on your sidebar!! It's an honor, and I don't think you need to take it down. If someone doesn't want the increased traffic from it, I say just take them off.
Great photos!! Hope you had a great and relaxing weekend!
Unfortunately you can't please everyone! It dosen't bother me at all, I like it!!
Yeah, I agree, don't take the feature off the sidebar, it makes me feel so special to see my name in lights on YOUR blog! :)
Some people just don't like change!
Oh and that limoncello picture is GORGEOUS!
To each his own, but I don't mind your blog list reader. It's a free advert that is fully attributed, and some posts really do catch the eye.
I especially love the flan and limoncello pix.
I like the links too! I suppose if someone specifically asks they should be taken off... but... considering it is a great publicity tool I don't guess many people would...?!
Anyway I'm well chuffed you wrote this post - I figured it was some fancy bit of shenanigans you'd worked out for yourself - I didn't realise I could add it too! (Yarp, I'm a bit dopey sometimes ;)
[wanders off to play with blogger]
ps. the limocello has me drooling. And thank you for not adding that pea pic...
I am always honored to be mentioned anywhere on your blog! I think the sidebar is great- I always find interesting posts to check out. Seems to me that if you don't want to be linked to- you probably ought not to have a public blog in the first place and just keep your thoughts private. I mean it's not as if this feature wasn't directing attention to the originator of the work- it's puzzling that someone would object to a link.
Great pics and I love your wascally wabbit too!
Don't change a thing Courtney! You cannot please everyone but I'm with Heather...dying to know who it was!!!
